On the way from Delhi to Kolkata I had several stops: Jaipur, Agra, Gewallior, Orchaa, Khajuraho, Varanasi, and than arrived to Kolkata
From Delhi to Jaipur there is about 308 km - and it takes about 4.5 hours.
I had a driver and a car for this tour in the above mentioned stops. The deal included hotels , not fancy but quite reasonable (about 700 rupees for single room),for 9 days a total of 750 us $.
It's not cheap, but it was a good deal. The driver paid for gas, tax, parking and tolls. He understood english , and he was with me all the time.
We drove about two hours and a half , and when we arrived midday we stopped in a restaurant
It was a nice restaurant, but also expensive. I paid for a meal 300 rupees, which in other places I paid only 160 rupees.
When we arrived close to the city Jaipur we saw a palace in the lake.
This palace is called Jal Mahal Palace
What seems to me unique in India, and every time amazing me again, is the polarity between wealth and poverty.
In Delhi I saw clinics where the line of people which were waiting was amazing. Hundreds of people waiting for the doctor, in the place that serves as clinic which is neglected dilapidated, non silo person, and shouldn't be named clinic.
I did not take a risk to take a picture of such a view, because who knows what people might think about me taking such a picture, but even if I wanted todo so, I could not physically doing it because it was such a density of people and, barely able to squeeze myself out of place.
On the other hand, I was shocked when I came to Jaipur, and see an eye clinic in a building that is special, as you can see in the picture.
Another amazing view is the palace Hawah Mahal
The next day, On 28/11/2008 I went to see the Jantar Mantar , which was built as an Astronomy Monumnt by Sawai Jai Singh.
I visited also in City Palace - Jaipur
